Who’s Who on the Nigeria Super High Way!!
Despite the increasing popularity of the Internet in Nigeria and the drive by the Federal Government to make sure that all parastatals have a functioning website, most Nigerian owned websites remain relatively unpopular and unknown on the World Wide Web.
WhoNigeria.com is the first Internet gateway in Nigeria designed to connect Internet users directly to corporate websites in Nigeria.
WhoNigeria is designed and managed by Firenze Consulting, an IT consulting company which specialises in providing Internet based IT solutions to companies in Nigeria.
WhoNigeria is not another directory of companies in Nigeria, but a gateway to help you get to the companies yourself via the Internet, by connecting you directly to their websites.
The idea was born from discussions with some of our clients inside and outside Nigeria, and even Nigerians in Diaspora who were finding it difficult to make online enquiries for basic things like hotels and domestic airline reservations in Nigeria.
We know from our research that there are so many Nigerian businesses like hotels with websites, but these websites are hidden from the world due to little or no advertising.
Our aim is to provide a one-stop Internet gateway that will act as an online advertising billboard for the must popular websites in Nigeria.
Our plan in the next 12 months is to sign up as many corporate owned Nigerian websites as we can, and showcase them on the Internet and round the world through exhibitions and conferences under the umbrella of whonigeria.com.
We believe whonigeria will be useful to expatriates round the world wanting to do business in Nigeria, or perhaps thinking of coming to Nigeria for a holiday, also to Nigerians in Diaspora looking for investment opportunities in Nigeria, and to the 140 million plus Nigerians who still have to depend on foreign search engines to locate websites in Nigeria.
